The Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, has been removed from office by Kano state government.
Usman Alhaji, the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, made the announcement on Monday at the State Executive Council meeting held at the Government House.
According to the SSG, Emir Sanusi II has not been abiding by instructions given by the state government hence, the decision to remove him from office.
Prompt News reports that Kano State House of Assembly last week received fresh allegations against the embattled Emir and subsequently referred the matter to appropriate committee for investigation.
